Valentine's Day
Here is a recap of my past valentine's days, in case you are interested. We will begin in 2006.
2006
Dating.
Wishing Mike and I were engaged, but I knew he was too stubborn to do that on the biggest love crazed day of the year. He bought me 2 fleece jackets from REI...One was a North Face, the other was Columbia. Romantic huh? I actually have no idea what else we did, but I am assuming he made me some dinner, because I know we didn't go out to eat anywhere...
2007
Married and Knocked up.
We were actually on our way to Hollywood with a couple of our friends. She got us plane tickets for $7.00 each.
We had to drive from Minneapolis to Chicago in the middle of the night to catch our flight. We ate Noodles & Co.
I didn't get a gift.
2008
I have NO IDEA what we did last year.
Lacey was 4 months old.
I think we had friends over and we all hung out and cooked food together...Like a mini Iron Chef America.
Flowers (I think) and Starbucks of course.
2009
HAHA.
I am 40 weeks pregnant.
I told him not to get me anything, unless its a visit to the hospital to have this baby.
I really don't want a Valentines baby though...
I guess what I am trying to say is that 1) my husband is SURE lucky that I am not into the whole Valentines thing and 2) We've had a whirlwind 4 years with babies, that I find myself wanting to get Lacey the cute stuffed puppy. Not my husband.

Sick
Sorry (again) that I've been gone.
I've been fighting this terrible cold since Saturday morning. The most depressing thing is that I can't taste any food and its been FIVE days. Eating is not much fun. Plus, we all know that the baby won't make an entrance when the mama is sick. Somehow our bodies just know that is a bad idea, even if you are walking around at 3 cm dilated.
So here's to getting better and having a baby SOON.

Randoms
1) I am patiently waiting for my new stroller to arrive. The Britax Vigour. It is supposed to come today. Where is that darn UPS guy. Yes, I should be walking everythere right now, but I cannot walk with a tot if I don't have a stroller now can I?
2) I seriously think Jelly Belly's may be the death of me. I eat way to many and not just when I am pregnant either. Mike is planning a trip (for someday) to their factory in CA, becuase I am really that interested in them.
3) I have an induction date set for February 16th, somewhat tentative of course. It's elective. At first I wasn't going to tell people I was set for that date, because I knew with it being elective I would get slack for it, but then I decided, what the heck, its my choice and I guess I don't really care if you like it. Of course I hope to go before then.
4) Me and 2 of my SIL's are all pregnant at the same time. It's pretty cool. What is even better, I am the first one to deliver : )
5) Jamba Juice just came out with organic steel cut oatmeal and it is amazing! Of course his boss can't eat it because he is on a "diet." I'm sorry but when is it bad to eat steel cut oats on a diet. Oh! Yeah, if you are doing a low-carb diet. Doesn't everyone know by now that those diets help you lose weight short term (think beach vacation), but do nothing for you over time? Come on America. Let's just eat everything in moderation and get off our butt every once in a while. Drives me nuts!
6) So annoyed that The Office is having so many re-runs lately.
7) I am currently reading "Endurance: Shackelton's Incredible Voyage" with my husband at night.
8) Lacey has all 4 of her first set of molars! Woohoo!
9) We are moving to MN at the end of February. The cold will most likely put me into shock!

Stranger Anxiety...FINALLY!!
Lacey is about the friendliest tot I have ever met. Maybe I am a bit partial, because she is my child and all, but she has never once been scared of anyone, refused to go to anyone, or had the slightest problem with me leaving her places.
Until today.
I must admit I was getting a little bit annoyed because she would smile at the creepiest men in stores and then of course they would come over and talk to her and I. I hated it and thought on more than one occasion what is wrong with her? Why can't she be more cautious around strangers.
But then today she SCREAMED when we were trying to get into the elevator with a weirdo man. I mean, she just did NOT want to get in there. So I picked her up and she buried her head in my shoulder and refused to look at the guy and whimpered until the elevator ride was over.
I was THRILLED...I know, not something you would typically be thrilled about, but at least I know she's got some discretion!.

6 Days
The way I see it, is this little one should arrive in 6 days. Why?
Well, I only have 6 prenatal vitamins left, and you can all be sure that I am not buying another bottle! Plus I will be past "full-term" status so the baby can come anytime.
But let's all be honest. They say that most babies arrive between 36-41 weeks, but I will most likely not be one of them. The sooner I realize that early babies happen to other people, and not me, the more content I will be.
I still refuse to buy more prenatals though.
