We don't, not in this house!
The stress is taking its toll on everyone, and that means Lacey as well. After a couple of nights of not sleeping well, due to being in a new place, she came down with a fever. I am guessing it was some sort of virus she picked up somewhere. I couldn't find my thermometer (mom of the year), but she was HOT. She didn't eat more than a few bites a day for 4 days straight, but would thankfully drink liquids (no, I never took her in to the doctor...mom of the year x2). Finally Sunday afternoon her fever broke, but she woke up monday morning with a full blown cold. Lovely. Now we are dealing with that, but at least she is somewhat happy again. It was quite possibly one of the longest weeks of my life with a baby thus far.
For more good news....I have been getting up no less than EIGHT times a night to use the bathroom. So not fun. Maybe that means that this baby has dropped. One can only hope! I will find out today at my OB appointment where I get to have my first internal. I hate internals. Anyone else think they hurt SO bad? The only time I didn't mind them was when I was drugged up and numb on the epidural with Lacey. I know, I know....you don't HAVE to have them, but who doesn't like hearing that they are 80% effaced or something? At this point of the pregnancy game, any news is a thread of hope to hold on to and I will take it. Pain and all.
I keep praying my water will break this week, but as my Sister in law (lovingly) pointed out, that only happens in about 5% of births. So most likely, I'll beg her to sweep my membranes and come home put lacey to bed and sit in front of the TV with a salad, red raspberry leaf tea, and jelly belly's (my ultimate weakness) and pray that my child will sleep through the night for the first time in over a week and that I only have to get up 6 times tonight...

Well, I can't say that I am going through getting up to pee but I will say that I swear that everytime I have a chance to sleep, SOMETHING interferes with it. I have maybe had 4 full nights sleep in the last 4 weeks. So sorry girl! Go drink that tea!
